A standard projector needs a room’s length to make a big picture \u2014 9 to 19 feet for a 120\u2033 screen, depending on the model. A short-throw projector makes the same picture from a few feet, and an ultra-short-throw (UST) model does it from a unit sitting right under the screen. A UST projector doesn’t sit across the room at all: it goes on a low stand or cabinet directly below the screen, inches from the wall, and throws the image up at a steep angle.<\/p>\n
