Manual Pull-down & Self-Lock Screens

A manual pull-down screen is the simplest way to put a real projection surface on a wall. The fabric rolls from the same kind of casing as a motorized screen, but there is no motor and no wiring: you pull the fabric down by hand against a spring mechanism, it self-locks at the height you want, and a gentle tug releases it to retract.

Our manual range is a small, deliberately chosen one — 6 models from 80″ to 150″ — and we will be plain about where it fits. With no motor or electronics, a manual screen is typically the least expensive way to buy a given size, and the installation is the easiest of any type: two brackets, a level, done. That makes it the honest workhorse for classrooms, offices, training rooms and budget home setups — especially at 100″ and under, where its limits matter least.

On flatness, a manual screen sits in the same class as a regular motorized screen — both rate “good”; what you give up versus motorized is the remote, not the picture. If flatness is the top priority, the step-ups are tab-tension motorized (“better”) and fixed frame (“best”). For a screen that comes down twice a day and just works, though, a manual screen is hard to argue with.
